My name is Elena Ágata and I am from Madrid, although I have been going back and forth for the last 7 years, and that is perhaps what has led me to discover a world as beautiful as the world of ceramics.
How I discovered ceramics
I have lived in London for many years, and while I was there I was struck by the great tradition and admiration for ceramics there in the United Kingdom. It was then that my curiosity began. A few months before returning to Spain I took an introductory course in ceramics in the famous Finchley Road, where I first discovered this material. I loved it and from that moment on I couldn’t stop playing with it.
What is pottery to me
On my return to Spain I decided to set up my own workshop to investigate and discover the many possibilities of this material. It was at this time that I also realized that the process of creation is also a way of meditation with which you can relax and connect with your senses.
Almost 2 years have passed and little by little things are happening such as the creation of my own brand, Elena Agata, and my website, which is the tool that allows me to reach all of you.
